Moore Family

I had the privilege of shooting some Christmas shots for a friend of my sister in law. I wish I had the Moore's setup in my house. Their Christmas tree was right next to a beautiful fireplace. I would schedule many more Christmas shoots if I had something like this at my house...maybe one of these days!

The Meriwether Family

I didn't realize just how long it had been since I had posted anything. The Meriwether Family shoot had to be one of my favorite shoots. The father worked at my high school, but I don't think I had seen him since I graduated several years ago. I am in a civic organization with his daughter in law. When she contacted me about pictures, I had no idea it was Mr. Meriwether's family. He and his entire family were so much fun. I can just imagine the holidays around their house!!!

Both the father and son in law are pastors, so we thought it would be cute to get some pictures at a church. This is actually the church I grew up in, but not the church these two pastor.

Watkins Family

I met the Watkins family through a friend of a friend kinda thing. Once we had the session booked, though I had never met them, we began running into each other all over the place. I think my husband and I share their love for Mexican food because that seems to be where we always saw each other! I loaded up in their mini van and headed to downtown Dawson Springs for our shoot. I made the mistake of mentioning Dairy Queen so the whole time the kids were asking when we were going to go get ice cream. We got some great shots and they even treated me to a DQ treat!! What a great family!!!

Maggie

Introducing my niece Maggie. You would think I would have tons of pictures of my niece, Maggie, but for a 5 year old, her schedule is just about as busy as mine. So trying to find a time when all of us can get together to get some shots is sometimes a little hard to do...ok most of the time. I took these photos about a month ago, and have just gotten them finished up. I hope my brother and sister in law think they are worth the wait.

Dixon Family Sneak Peek

You might recognize one member of the Dixon family from the previous blog with the Edwards Family. Miss Kadie got to have two photo shoots with me in about a week's time, and she was so sweet both times. Dad actually works with my father in law, and I didn't know it until the day before the shoot. I guess it's true that we are all connected somehow. Since we couldn't use the family farm for the shoot because of all the rain we've had and the fact that they were shelling corn, we decided to start at my house and then head to the park to get some other shots. We even decided to go for a little hike in order to get some special shots. I know I needeed the exercise. I was under strict orders from the son to get these pictures done quick, he had hunting to do. I'm so excited about the fall colors starting to come through!!
